This bed was purchased to replace a very hard mattress. The Maxcoil Comfort Care mattress, in my opinion has a topping that softens the firmness of the underlying support. It's like putting a topping 3/10 on a 7/10 firmness mattress. If you are worried of lack of support, no worries. I have herniated discs, and this is pretty good (trust me when a bed has poor support, I will know overnight). If you are looking for the "huggy", luxurious feel of the topping, it does not have since it is a 1-2 inch thin layer latex of topping, but it is comfortably soft for 1-2 inches of give. Pressure points should be reduced, and hopefully sleep would be better :)

Though this translates into a more even lumbar support, it also means that this mattress has a lot more metal in it and is terribly heavy, so please use a sturdy bedframe for it.
The Comfort Care uses same synthetic latex top as that in the Newbury Plush but is covered with a better quality Belgian cotton quilting. Great stitching is done on the quilting, but as cotton tends to stretch, you can't expect perfectly straight stitch lines.
Stretchy, soft Belgian cotton quilting and breathable synthetic latex form a plush top that moulds perfectly to body contours with an ultimate softness and comfort, only trumped by a combination of memory foam and down (goosefeathers).
Somehow or rather, the king-sized version is more comfortable than queen-sized model. Perhaps this is because there's more fabric hence more stretchability.
However as the Comfort Care is still a spring mattress, it isn't as soft as memory foam mattress, so you won't get the feeling of sleeping on a cloud. It's also one-sided, like most plush top mattresses, so it's non-flip.
