Nyatoh and Ramin wood are tropical hardwood that is grown mainly in the humid tropical area in Indonesia. Furnitures manufatured with Nyatoh and Ramin Wood are extremely strong and durable. They are a good alternative to teak as the price is much more competitive. Nyatoh and Ramin Wood looks nice in either natural matt or oiled gloss finish. Both coating serves protection purpose to make the furniture more long lasting. They are weather resistant, excellent for indoor or outdoor use. Supply for Nyatoh and Ramin wood has decreased over the years due to severe shortage because of environmental reason, causing the price to hike. Beds.sg work with established furniture manufacturers who kept a huge supply of Nyatoh and Ramin Wood yet meeting the environment and economic standard. Hence we are not affected by the price hike at present moment. So you can definately expect a much better deal here!

    Due to space constraint, the only option to squeeze in beds for 3 adults will have to be a double+single pull-out bed. Like the color and structure but was somehow worried whether the top bunk will be able to sustain the weight of an adult who moves quite alot during sleep, though mentioned weight sustainability is max 70kg. Will keep it under observation and feedback on this issue after probably 6 months. Overall, this double-deck is recommended for children but not the pull-out.

    The single pull-out has a 1 to 2 cm gap from the base to the floor and a number of us got our toes caught beneath when the bed slides out too fast. Another issue, the rollers does not function like the rubbered rollers on the pull-out we used to have that comes with slight friction. Rollers used this pull-out is made of some kinda plastic and are totally uncontrollable. It glides around too fast and when someone from the top bunk tried to step on this pull-out to get to the ground, the pull-out glides away almost causing a fall off this bed :(

    Overall rating for this double deck bed is good except there is some clicking noise when my 8 year old son move during his sleep on the upper deck of the bed.

    • Can you advise the dimension of the whole bed? I am looking for a double decker bed that is not longer than 190cm to fit into the bomb shelter.

      you cant have any normal bed frame if your space cannot take more than 190cm. all normal bed frame length would be around 200cm

    • I have existing mattress of 8 inches height. Can it be used with this model of double decker bed?

      8inches height is not a problem for the lower deck but for the upper deck, recommended max height would be at 6inches if anything thicker might be dangerous as it will cover more than half of the side guard :)
